About Me…
Who are you?
My name is Lindsey Flynn. I’m a Corporate America drop out who decided to follow my passion and help people get past their breakup as a breakup coach.
I’m a Certified Life Coach and Certified PTSD Coach.
i’m a gamer and kitten mom.
I’ve had some really brutal breakups and share a bunch about them in how they can help us grow into the human we want to be. I wouldn’t trade any of my breakups for anything because they have helped me create who I am today.
Why do you specialize in break ups?
I’m good at them! I still talk with my ex’s since I cancelled my wedding regularly. I believe if we do our work, we can stay friends. I’ve found men rarely have anyone to help them navigate a break up that feels right to them. Most of my clients don’t feel like they have anyone to talk to, so they stuff it down or put it in their “compartments” and don’t touch it again until it bubbles it. (It always does). Break ups are hard. I love helping my clients come out of them better than they went in.
Why the Military?
My corporate job took me there and I loved it. So, I spent countless hours learning, understanding, and becoming the help I know my grandparents/parents wish they had as their families had to deal with the changes of countless deployments, location changes, communication long distance (LDR), and reintegration/transition. I was able to take my life coaching skills and my learned understanding of military life and the struggles to mush them together.
You say SME for the Army Reserve, what is that?
Well, It’s Subject Matter Expert. I volunteered my time to instruct the soldiers and their families pre, post, and during deployment. This included reintegration, communication and long distance communication (LDR), emotional intelligence, education benefits, and life coaching. I traveled all over the country and taught up to 1200 soldiers in a weekend.
Why did you start instructing with the Army Reserve?
The opportunity fell into my lap with the amazing contacts I made in my corporate job. I had the skills and knowledge they were looking for in their program. I went into it to give back to those who risk everything to defend the country. My mantra was: if I can save a life this weekend or save a family or make life easier, then I’m going to give my all every single class I teach. This helped me remember why I was there no matter how exhausted I was after working a full travel job with corporate.
Anything else we should know?
I’m pretty outside of the box as far as thinking and finding solutions for my client that feels the best for them. I believe there is no one size fits all for what people are going through. I work hard with my client to make sure he’s getting exactly what he needs from coaching. I hold my clients accountable for the goals they set for our coaching together. I love being the go to person as my clients dive into the new them as they design it.
I’m a sassy redhead that’s fairly quick witted and loves sarcasm. If that’s what you need in your life as a coach, let’s do this.
